Supplemental Shelter

Lloyd Sargent Sun, 10/16/2016 - 14:00

In addition to the shelter provided by range enhancement activities in the old hay field and that provided by the Oak-Elm woodland, a number of bird nest boxes will be placed in appropriate habitat throughout the property.

10 bluebird boxes will be located in grassy areas, 4 titmouse boxes will be located in Oak parklands, and 3 wren boxes will be located in shrubby habitats.

These nest boxes will be monitored annually for occupancy and successful breeding.

All boxes will be cleaned in late Winter before breeding season begins.
